18/2 Skridskodag.Matsäck!

Week 5

 The Parental Conferences are almost over. All parents who turned up came in time. The class now has great balance with the additional two children that we got. With all due respect I thank all parents who are cooperative and teamwork with us teachers to help their children to focus in school. Many children have benefited positively with the teamwork. Continue to communicate by email whenever you are wondering about anything unclear.


Mathematics/ Natural Sciences


The Children got additional 80 minutes to cope with the Mathematics calculations. They are to have a test on Wednesday of week 6. We are still studying Astronomy. We will take a closer look at how the Earth tilts on its axis, solstices and Equinoxes etc. I am sure tthe children will enjoy it.

Cosmonova

Next week on the 4^th  February we will visit Naturhistoriska  museum and visit Cosmonova. We have been privileged to have the school pay for the entry to Cosmonova however due to pressure of time we will be compelled to request for packed lunch to all children in the 5^th grade.

Class Parents

Anna Sofi (Maya`s mum ) and Pia (Felix`s) mother agree to take the role of being class parents.

Veckan som gått har vi avslutat grammatikfilmerna. Vi har börjat nosa på nästa arbetsområde inom SO som är historia och denna gång reser vi till medeltiden. Se mail med bifogade planeringar för de nya arbetsområdena inom svenska och historia.

Week 4

The children have been great during the week. They have behaved well and worked very hard and a majority have handed in their assignments in time.  4-5 children are still dominant and take up so much space from other children who internalise their frustration since time is robbed of them when the few classmates spoil the study atmosphere. Many parents have been cooperative and helpful when they get information to talk to their children while some whose children continue to disturb the working environment take defensive positions. I will concentrate Parental Conference times mainly on discussing the formative assessment of the children and what can strengthen their academic work.  The meeting will centre on the learners self-assessment pinpointing mainly their strengths. The list for the times  have been updated.

We continue with studying Astrology, Rational Numbers , Literature ,  different genres of writing. Homework has been updated.

I torsdags var vi i Rikssalen på slottet och såg föreställningen ”Musiken som försvann”. Det var en härlig och förhoppningsvis ny upplevelse för de flesta. En del av skolans uppgift är ju att vidga elevernas värld och ge möjligheter till att prova på nya saker.

Veckan som gått har vi arbetat med de grammatikfilmer som klassen gör som en avslutning på vårt ordklassarbete. Vi har haft genomgång av grammatik- och geografiproven.

False Fire Alarm

Information om brandlarm

Idag gick brandlarmet på Johannes Skola för andra gången den här veckan. Precis som i måndags så var det ingen brand utan kopplat till dammutveckling i samband med renoveringsarbetena i källaren. Idag identifierades larmet på bara någon minut som ett falsklarm och utrymningen avbröts omedelbart. Vi har kallat till möte med ansvariga för vår fastighetsägare för att försöka säkerställa att det här inte blir ett återkommande problem för oss.
