Dear Parents
We tested 5 different white powders with vinegar, iodine and red
cabbage indicator. The children could establish that that the orange colour in
iodine makes substances containing starch blue black.
We went through some properties of bases, acids and
alkalines. The children then tested acidity and alkalinity using the liquid
from red cabbage. The children documented their hypothesis, results and
conclusions. They now have a clue about what some of the powders contain.
Some children are curious about different types of
triangles, their areas and perimeters. They are also curious about finding the hypotenuse to determine the perimeter of right angled triangles. Introduction to pythagorus` theorem will be required. We will
go through that and do some exercises .On Week 49 there will be a Mathematics test covering the topics of Geometry , Tables and Diagrams.
The children have to complete reading Goodnight Mr.
Tom. The deadline will be on Friday week 48. For new spelling words, click on "Homework" .
Vi har kommit
vidare i arbetet med ordklasser och denna vecka har vi fokuserat på substantiv.
Vi har letat, skrivit och böjt dem och vi har satt ord på det vi faktiskt redan
vet om substantiv (att man sätter en/ett/flera framför, att orden böjs beroende
på singular/plural). Gällande svenska och arbetet med
ordklasser så samtalar vi om att vi redan kan mycket av det vi ska lära oss,
men att vi nu ska bli mer medvetna och förstå hur alla ord hänger ihop.
I torsdags
besökte vi fadderbarnen och 5B fick läsa sina faktatexter. Det blev ett mycket
uppskattat och mysigt möte!
Vi har pratat om
Europas olika regioner och vad som gör att länderna inom dessa hör ihop (natur,
klimat, ekonomi) och även vad som skiljer de olika regionerna åt.
